About Us
Members of the SAVEALIFECLUB.COM make it possible for families in unplanned pregnancy situations to get the information and assistance they need to make an informed decision. To be informed is to know the truth about the resources that are available for families that need assistance, the positive aspects of adoption, the risk associated with abortion, and programs that help those who are dealing with post-abortion trauma. When families know the truth about their choices, they can make better decisions.
You can be a part of saving lives by becoming a member of SAVEALIFECLUB.COM. Your tax-deductible contribution will provide resources to the facilities that have been helping families in unplanned pregnancy situations for more than 20 years. The statistics below give you an idea of the magnitude of the people involved in unplanned pregnancy situations and the vast need for intervention.
CDC began conducting abortion surveillance in 1969 to document the number and characteristics of women obtaining legal induced abortions. These statistics are only those of which were voluntarily reported. Various abortion clinics and private doctors from state to state may not have reported any data at all and some may have not submitted every aspect of information that was requested. Also, some states did not participate at all. – CDC Abortion Surveillance Report 2004
One in Four Pregnancies End in Abortion
One in three American women will have an abortion by the time they reach age 45. Accounting for the men who are involved as the father in these abortions, one in three adults will be personally involved in at least one abortion in their lifetime. Considering these statistics, we can assume that the majority of us have either had an abortion or have a friend or family member who has had an abortion.
Of the 6.4 million pregnancies that occur in the U.S. each year, there are about 4.1 million live births, 1.3 million abortions and 900,000 miscarriages.
Factoring out the number of miscarriages in a given year, one in four pregnancies each year ends in abortion.
Abortion Numbers by Age
The median age of a woman who has an abortion is 24.
Girls under age 15 represent 0.7% of all abortions

Abortion Numbers by Income
One in four women who seek an abortion has income levels above 300% of poverty ($42,000).
Only 22% of women said inadequate finances was the main reason for choosing abortion.
57% of women who seek an abortion have incomes that fall below the federal poverty level. However, a 2005 briefing from the Third Way Culture Project asserts, “the portrait that it paints of them as poor could be misleading. 52% of women who have an abortion are under the age of 25. Young people simply earn less than older people and single people earn far less than married people. For example, a 2003 census bureau study found that those under 25 with a bachelor’s degree earned on average $22,000 while those between 25 and 29 with the same degree earned $39,000. Thus, these women could have low incomes, but they could also have wealthy or middle class parents.”
Abortion Numbers by Race
Whites represent 69% of the United States population and account for 41% of the nation’s abortions.
Blacks represent 12% of the United States population, but account for 32% of the nation’s abortions.
Hispanics represent 13% of the United States population, and account for 20% of the nation’s abortions.
